What were the qualifying rounds like?
In the first round of the qualifying round, the top 40 contestants advanced to the quarter-finals, 10 contestants from each continental group: Africa, the Americas and the Caribbean, Asia and Oceania, and Europe.
Many contestants have already earned a spot in the Top 40 by advancing to their continental groups’ quick challenges, and some challenge winners will be revealed in the final show.
These quick challenges are “Live”, “Top Model”, “Multimedia”, “Popular” and “Beauty with a Destination”. The remaining places in the continental top 10 will be filled by jury selection.
The next stage narrows the list of finalists down to just 20 contestants, with the top two in the Beauty with a Destination category and the winners in the Multimedia, Live Competition and Best Model categories guaranteed spots. The judges select contestants to fill the remaining 15 spots, ensuring that there are five contestants from each of the four continental groups.
12 contestants will advance to the next round, including the top two in the Beauty for Purpose category, the top two in the People’s Choice category, and two contestants from Africa, the Americas and the Caribbean, Asia and Oceania, and Europe.

The top six contestants will qualify for the final round, including the best contestants from Africa, the Americas and the Caribbean, Asia, Oceania and Europe, in addition to the winner of the “Beauty Message” title and the People’s Choice Award. Only two of the six finalists will make it, and the winner will be crowned Miss World 2026.
Rose Simpson: The contestant most likely to win the title
Miss Teen Asia Rose Simpson will represent the Philippines in this year’s pageant. He has already secured a place among the top 40 contestants by winning the Asia and Oceania Head-to-Head Challenge.
