In the week ending September 6, 2026, the fortunes of the world’s 10 richest people saw a remarkable increase as Elon Musk took a huge leap, bringing his fortune to $904 billion, bringing him closer to the trillion dollar mark.
The list features a change from last week, as Bernard Arnault returned to the top 10 and Amancio Ortega left it, while tech giants posted billions of dollars in profits.

In the list of the 10 richest people in the world, Elon Musk is on the first place with $904 billion, Larry Page is on the second place with $291 billion, Jeff Bezos is on the third place with $280 billion, and Sergey Brin is on the fourth place with $270 billion.
Michael Dell is in fifth place with $250 billion, Mark Zuckerberg is in sixth place with $219 billion, and Larry Ellison is in seventh place with $213 billion. Jensen Huang is in eighth place with a fortune of 191 billion dollars.
Steve Ballmer came in ninth place with $174 billion, and French billionaire Bernard Arnault took tenth place with $150 billion, completing the list of the 10 richest people in the world.
The biggest winner is Elon Musk
Elon Musk was the week’s biggest gainer after his fortune rose by $30.9 billion from $873.1 billion to $904 billion, cementing his position at the top of the world’s richest people list.
Mark Zuckerberg is in second place after his fortune jumped from $198 billion to $219 billion, an increase of $21 billion, while Larry Ellison came in third with $19.4 billion, bringing his fortune from $193.6 billion to $213 billion.
Steve Ballmer posted the fourth-biggest gain, after his fortune rose by $17.1 billion from $156.9 billion to $174 billion, while Michael Daly’s fortune rose by $10 billion, from $240 billion to $250 billion.
Sergey Brin’s fortune also increased by $9 billion, from $261 billion to $270 billion, while Larry Page reached $8 billion, increasing his fortune from $283 billion to $291 billion.
Bernard Arnault’s fortune increased by $6.7 billion, from $143.3 billion to $150 billion, returning to the top ten, while Jeff Bezos’ fortune increased by $6.5 billion, from $273.5 billion to $280 billion.
Jensen Huang finished last in terms of earnings after his fortune rose from $187.9 billion to $191 billion, an increase of $3.1 billion. Thus, none of the rich people on the current list recorded a weekly loss compared to last week’s figure.
Notably, the wealth of the top 10 increased by about $137.7 billion from last week, with Musk at the top by a wide margin, in a week where the world’s richest people turned into an arena of broad gains instead of the losses some rich people saw the previous week.
