Egyptian artist Imad Rashad revealed some of the last hours of the late artist Farouk El-Fishaw’s life, recalling the details of their conversation before the latter slipped into a coma, behind the scenes of his emotional life and the loneliness he felt in recent years.
Al-Fishaw’s last wishes
Rashad said during an interview on the program “Kalam Al-Nas” that Al-Fishawi was in a state of tension before entering the coma, but after seeing him he regained his composure and noted that in their last conversation he had high hopes for a return to normal life.
Rashad said: “Before he went into the coma he was nervous, but when he saw me he calmed down and kept saying, ‘I’ll come out and come to you and see Jim to get back to the way I was before. These are the last two hours of his life.”
An unfinished love story
Rashad spoke about the emotional side of Farooq Al-Fishaw’s life, noting that the late artist had one love experience that greatly influenced his life, but it was not complete.
He explained: “Farooq al-Fishawi once loved him, but he did not share. It was the greatest love of his life and he walked in it.”

Speaking on Kalam El Nas, Rashad said that El Fishawi was tense before going into a coma, but would regain his composure when he saw him, noting that their last conversation was full of hope for a return to normal life.
Rashad said: “Before he went into a coma he was agitated, but when he saw me he calmed down and kept telling me he was going to come out and see me and that he was going to hit the gym to get back to the way he was; those were the last two hours of his life.”
