Hans Flick is a great coach and his trust in Hamza and giving him the opportunity to appear in the first team is a very important step in my son’s career.
He continued: “Hamza is a very quiet person by nature. He doesn’t like to talk much about himself. He always prefers to focus on the field and training and let his level speak for him.”

Regarding the family’s feelings while watching his son in a Barca shirt in La Liga, he said: “As a family, we have followed his journey and know how much effort he has put in to reach this stage, so to see him play for the first team in an official Spanish league match was a special moment for us.”
Mohamed Abdel Karim continued: “For Hamza to become the first Egyptian player to officially take part in the Barcelona first team, it is a huge honor for him and our family and we are proud as he represents Egypt at one of the biggest clubs in the world.”
He concluded: “I always tell him that getting into the first team is not the end of the dream, but the beginning of a more difficult phase that requires more work, focus and patience. I hope that his participation against Rayo Vallecano is just the beginning and that Hamza will continue to develop and get more opportunities and write a long history at Barcelona and raise the name of Egypt in the years to come.”
