Turkish club Trabzonspor continue their search for a new technical director after the departure of Fatih Teke following their Turkish Premier League loss to Amed Sportif and four international names at the helm.
Trabzon has yet to make a final decision on a new coach as the administration continues to evaluate local and foreign options, while the club’s fans await the outcome of negotiations with Arda Turan in the near future.
It is worth noting that Mohamed Salah joined Trabzonspor this summer in Mercato on a free transfer after leaving England’s Liverpool, after 9 successful seasons individually and collectively.

According to Turkish “sporx”, the management of Trabzonspor is going to appoint a foreign coach for the position of new technical director, and four names appeared on the table and they are as follows.
Vitor Pereira
The Portuguese coach, who previously worked in Turkey while coaching Fenerbahçe, has experience in the Turkish Super League.
Sergio Conceicao
The Portuguese coach, who achieved great success with Porto, is known for his powerful and enthusiastic playing style and is one of the most prominent candidates to take over the Trabzonspor job.
Marcelino Garcia
The veteran Spanish coach, who led the oldest Spanish clubs, such as Villarreal and Valencia, is distinguished by success in European championships.
Steven Gerrard
The English manager, who won the Scottish League with Rangers, is among the names Trabzon are considering for the job, with Gerrard having left Saudi Arabian club Al-Etifaq.

Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan hinted at his club’s direction in the search for a coach: “We don’t have the luxury of making a mistake, so we are looking at this issue intensively, but it is likely that the coach will be a foreigner. What we are doing is in that direction.”
Reports indicate that the administration is continuing to explore the options available to bring in a new technical director that fits the team’s goals and the names of Pereira, Conceição, Marcelino and Gerrard have been explored.
