Ahmed Schubert Reveals New Scenes Regarding Son’s Al-Ahli Contract Renewal | Masrav
Journalist Ahmed Schubert, father of Al-Ahly goalkeeper Mustafa Schubert, has revealed the scenes behind his son’s contract renewal with the Red Castle, stressing that the talks did not include any penalty clause and that what has been said about his presence recently has not been accurate.
Al-Ahly have officially announced the extension of Mustafa Schubert’s contract to continue with the team for the coming years, amid the club’s commitment to the goalkeeper, who is considered one of the members of the youth sector.

Ahmed Schubert said during a radio broadcast that his son’s contract renewal negotiations witnessed some discussions and back-and-forth before reaching a final agreement and signing, stressing that he was confident the renewal would be completed.
He explained: “The story of the penalty spot and the demonization of the penalty spot… By God Almighty, the penalty spot does not exist and is not needed. It was just a suggestion by someone inside the club to solve a temporary problem and then Al-Ahly decided not to install a penalty spot and the matter was over.”
He added that the talk of Mustafa Schubert setting conditions at the Al-Ahly club is not true and emphasized that the player wants to continue his career at the Red Fort.
Ahmed Schubert touched on the scenes on the day of his son’s signing, explaining that Mustafa went to the club and expressed his desire to complete the renewal procedures immediately, saying: “Mustafa entered the club and told them: ‘I want to leave immediately.’
He noted that Dr. Essam Siraj, Head of the Contracts Sector, was at the club’s headquarters while arrangements were made to finalize the team’s post-training procedures.

Ahmed Schubert emphasized that his son has the right to consider the foreign offers he received, especially the offer from the Italian club Como, and noted that it was natural for the player to dream of professional experience and participation in European championships.
He said: Mustafa has the right to think a little and he has the right to dream of playing in the European Championship. Unfortunately, people began to take away their legitimate dreams and ambitions.
He explained that the negotiations did not go as well as some had imagined, noting that before the final agreement was reached, more than one meeting was held between the two parties, the last of which was yesterday, after which the agreements were signed and the case was officially signed.
Ahmed Schubert concluded his speech by stressing that the update file has been completely closed, “from the demonization of social media” and the controversy surrounding it, noting that Al-Ahly confirmed in its official statement that the session that brought Mustafa Schubert together with Dr. Issam Siraj was completed in accordance with the coordination of administrative and financial procedures of the club.
