Hossam al-Mandouh talks about… the Bezerra crisis… about the rulers of the summit

Zamalek club treasurer Hossam Al-Mandouh has confirmed that White Castle’s board of directors are still committed to the return of Brazilian Juan Bezera to the team in the near future, indicating that work continues daily to resolve the file.

Speaking on MBC Misr, Al-Manduh said: “The board of directors insists on Bezera’s return to the club in the near future and it will be achieved very soon, but there is no specific date for his return.”

He added: “The Bezerra file is being worked on every day and many emails are being sent every day and there is almost an agreement that will be satisfactory to both parties in the next period.”

He continued: “This agreement will preserve the rights of the Zamalek club and at the same time achieve what the club is asking for, by returning the player to the team, and I do not know the truth about the offers presented to the player.”

Referees of the summit match

Zamalek’s treasurer touched on the club’s position regarding the refereeing team for the summit match, stressing that there is no crisis with the board of directors regarding the transfer of the match to the Egyptian refereeing team.

He said: “We have no problem with the summit match being officiated by an Egyptian referee and we have not yet made a decision on the request for foreign referees.

Regarding the level of the team in the past matches, Al-Manduh explained that the performance was not at the required level and at the same time emphasized the importance of getting points.

He said: “Zamalek’s performance was not satisfactory in the previous matches, but the most important thing is to get points, especially after the problems that Zamalek went through, especially the incomplete preparation period.”

Ball’s company and support for Abbas

Hossam Al-Mandouh also revealed the steps taken by the Board of Directors regarding the creation of a football company, stressing that this is an important step to achieve the financial sustainability of the club.

He explained: “The football company is necessary for the good management of the club, to achieve financial sustainability and at the moment we are studying the best scenario from the point of view of the majority of the board of directors to reach the appropriate percentage and we are communicating with investors and there are many answers”.

Al-Manduh talked about the role of former Zamalek club president Mamdouh Abbas in supporting the club and emphasized that he is still a fan and loyal to White Castle.

He concluded his statements by saying: “Mamdou Abbas did not support Zamalek Club, he is a fan of the club and loyal to it, and there are many other people who support the club, either financially or through relationships.”
