The leader was killed in Sheba. Iran: Attacks on Lebanon will make negotiations pointless

Although the Israeli army said it had killed the leader of the Lebanese factional organization in Shebaa, Maher Qassem Hamdani, during a raid in Sidon yesterday, Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian confirmed today (Thursday) that the Israeli strikes on Lebanon are a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement.

Pezeshkian said that the continuation of attacks on Lebanon will make negotiations pointless, adding: our hands will remain on the saw and Iran will not leave the Lebanese people.

On the other hand, Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Baqir Moglamaf said that Hezbollah is an integral part of the ten-point agreement and ceasefire in Lebanon and stressed the need to immediately stop the escalation.

Today, the Lebanese army mourned the death of four soldiers during the Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon yesterday, explaining that four of its soldiers fell in the cities of Sidon, Shamstar-Baalbek and Mansoura-Hermel.

On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today that Israel will continue to strike Lebanon when necessary, targeting Hezbollah, adding: “Anyone who moves against Israel will be targeted. We will continue to strike Hezbollah with force, precision and determination.”

The Israeli army announced the killing of Maher Qassem Hamdan, the leader of the Shebaa Lebanese faction organization, during a raid in Sidon yesterday. He also confirmed the killing of Ali Youssef Harshi, the private secretary of the Hezbollah Secretary General, and the nephew and private secretary of Naim Qassem during a raid in southern Lebanon.
