From ‘Snake’ to ‘Tetris’… White House games promote Trump’s agenda

Yesterday, Thursday, the White House website launched a new section called “Arcade,” featuring five low-resolution video games inspired by classic games aimed at promoting various aspects of President Donald Trump’s agenda, including immigration.

Defending the initiative, the White House said in a statement obtained by Agence France-Presse that it “further underscores the contrast between the culture of fun and victory and the dark socialist vision that Democrats are pursuing for America.”

One of the games is called “Build the Wall” and is a version inspired by the famous game “Tetris”, but it turns its idea into an attempt to “protect the borders from the incoming mob”, referring to immigrants.

In “Rio Run,” which is similar to the popular mobile game “Snake,” a Trump-like character moves around to round up potential border crossers.

America García Greval, co-director of the Texas Frontera Federation, told Agence France-Presse: “It disgusts me. They have been manipulating people’s lives for years and now they are making a video game about their actions.”

He continued: “The designers of this game have lost the importance of being human and caring for others.”

Tightening and restrictions

US President Trump has tightened the immigration system by approving a series of changes and measures that have led to the banning of millions of would-be immigrants from entering the country, tightening rules that block people from receiving government benefits, and removing protections granted to immigrants who face security and political unrest.

As for the game “Supply Line”, which is like a miniature version of the arcade game “Tapper”, food products move along a production line and the player must reject products that do not meet the standards of the “Make America Healthy Again” initiative.

Two more game events take place in the skies above Washington. In the game “Flappy Bill” an eagle carries a bill and flies over the National Mall.

As for the “Trump Savings Tycoon” game, the goal is to collect money flying through the air to “fill Trump accounts for your kids,” according to the administration’s savings plan, which provides $1,000 for every child born during Trump’s presidency.
