On the evening of September 5, the finals of Miss World 2026 were held in Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa). It was the first time that the world’s biggest beauty pageant was held in Vietnam. 111 beautiful women from different countries and regions took part in the competition.
After more than a month of preliminary rounds, the contestants have officially entered the final stage to choose the new Miss Universe. The competition system was changed this year; The organizers will select the top 40 contestants, then the top 20, then the top 12, then the top 6, and finally two runners-up and one winner.

The program started at seven o’clock in the evening. Miss Long Thuy Linh, accompanied by hosts Stephanie and Danny, presented the final ceremony of Miss Universe. The contestants performed traditional dances in the “Dances of the World” segment, thus kicking off the final night. After that, 111 contestants entered the evening gown segment. Contestants confidently rocked sheer or sheer designs that accentuated the beauty of their figures.
After the contestants from the Americas and the Caribbean finished their performances, it started to rain heavily. The closing night was delayed for about a quarter of an hour, due to which the live broadcast of the competition on various platforms had to be interrupted. Organizers distributed umbrellas and raincoats to guests and attendees.
Around 19:45, the program resumed with the speeches of the remaining groups of the competition.
