“Manchester United” coach Michael Carrick confirmed that he is very satisfied with the activity of his club during the summer transfer period and emphasized that the management of the club used the available funds in the best way.

Carrick said in a press conference today, Friday: “We have entered the transfer window and our desire is to emerge with a stronger squad than we had last season and we have already added strength to the group.”
Regarding the club’s financial strategy, Carrick added: “I think we’ve done a very good job of that. The financial situation is what we have to work with and what we’re trying to achieve as much as possible.”
The Manchester United manager continued: “Considering what we spent, I think we definitely got the most out of it and that’s why I’m very happy.”
Manchester United have been criticized by some fans for not signing a new left-back before the transfer window closed on Tuesday.

The English club inquired about the possibility of bringing in Ryan Ait Noor, but a deal did not go through, so Carrick still relied on Luke Shaw as the only direct left-back in the squad for the first half of the season.
Carrick commented on the signing of the left-back, saying: “You can always evaluate things, and there are other things that you can do or could have done and maybe that could have been achieved.”
The Red Devils coach explained in his speech: “Some options become available and others don’t, and this is part of the continuous effort to develop and progress as a group. There is no such thing as a completely perfect squad and you always have to find ways to adapt.”
Dutch striker Joshua Zirkze was the subject of late interest from Everton on Tuesday, but the Mercato has been shut down as he remains at Manchester United.
The 25-year-old is yet to get a single minute of action this season, but Carrick is expected to play a key role in the team this season.
On the Dutch striker’s position, Carrick said: “Circus is an important player.”
Carrick continued: “Again, it’s about the team, the team, the depth and the whole season. Joshua is happy here and my relationship with him is very good.”
He continued: “The player wants to be involved in more minutes than he got and that’s a positive thing that fosters healthy competition for positions. We have a lot of upcoming matches, even in the next two weeks.”
Carrick concluded: “Zirkze has the ability to perform at a very high level. I’ve seen it myself and I know what he can do and I’m looking forward to him doing it more often with us.”
