After a tour that included three cities: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and Khanh Hoa, the Miss World 2026 pageant officially ended on September 5 with a closing ceremony in Khanh Hoa with 111 contestants participating. It was the first time the pageant was held in Vietnam and also marked the 75th anniversary of the beauty pageant.
According to the system, the jury will choose the best 40, then 20, then 12, then 6 contestants in a row. The three most beautiful contestants will be awarded the title of beauty queen, and two contestants and two runners-up will be chosen. For the first time this year, the organizers gave a place among the 6 contestants to the contestant who received the most votes from the audience.
By the final night, 18 contestants had earned a spot in the Top 40 by winning the preliminary rounds, including Le Nguyen Bao Ngo.
On the closing night, Opal’s current Miss Universe, Suchata Chuangsri (Thailand) will be crowned as her successor. The program will be presented by Miss Vietnam Long Thuy Linh, Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle and Mr. World Dani Mejia Romero.

Ahead of the finals of the 73rd Miss World pageant, Vietnam’s Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc is one of the most prominent names in the running for the title. Before Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, Vietnam had many beauties who reached high places in the pageant, such as Lan Khoi (Top 11), Luong Thuy Linh (Top 12), Do Thi Ha (Top 13) and Do My Linh (Miss Kindness, Top 40).
