"Suspicious death"... Turkish actor Serhat Klitsch was found dead in his home

Turkish actor Serhat Mustafa Kliç died today, Saturday 5 September 2026, at the age of 51, after he was found dead at his home in Istanbul’s Kagitan district, in a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves through the Turkish artistic community.

According to Turkish media, contact with Klich was cut off for one to two days, prompting his girlfriend to go to his home in the Nortepe district, where he entered with a key and lay motionless on a chair in the living room. Police and ambulance crews arrived at the scene, before medical teams confirmed his death.

Initial examinations revealed bruises on various parts of the body, including bruises around the eyes, hands and feet, without any open cuts or injuries. Based on the circumstances of the death, the authorities have started an investigation into the circumstances, and the cause has not yet been determined, pending the results of the forensic examination.

death is ‘suspicious’

In a new development, Turkish reports said investigative teams had found narcotics while searching Klich’s home, while the death was officially registered as a “suspicious death”. However, the finding of these materials does not mean that they were the cause of death, as the final medical outcome still depends on the issuance of the forensic report.

This sudden end comes just a day after Klitsch announced his departure from the TV series The Organization (Teşkilat), which was scheduled to enter its seventh season before he quit without filming his scenes.

Clichy underwent a medical examination following health problems and was diagnosed with a herniated disc in his neck. Due to the nature of the series, which involves action scenes, his doctor advised him to refrain from performing them and undergo about three weeks of physical therapy, which is why he quit his job before filming began.
